What year did buy/how much was your TR?

My 1st 87 GN, was in 2004 for $8900, then in 2006 I found my 87 Limited about 3 miles from my house on a Buy here/Pay here car lot. I traded in a 96 Honda Accord EX with a $1000 bucks and drove it home. Had 56k original miles on it and it now has been restored :) So basicly paid $4000 for it

In summer of 1999. I paid 6k for mine. It had 84k miles amd fresh paint and many boltons. 3 months after buying it the motor lost oil pressure.

Bought my '87 in August of 2008. God it for $7,200 from the $8,500 he was asking. It had about 107,000 with a rebuilt tranny and a list of mods, but nothing too serious. It DID however have a very fresh paint job and full body work done.

I bought my original Canadian T-top 84 GN with 4000 km, for $18,000 US in Sept. 86 and sold it in Sept. 94 with just over 100,000 km! Sad part is I know where it is and he won't sell... :frown:

I bought my current hardtop 84 GN with 53000 mi, for $6600 in Nov. 2003 on eBay... and loving it
Pics of both in sig...

Picked mine up October 28, 2007 for $8000.

Then a few short months later the prices on TR's began to drop...wished i would have waited...could have had a nicer one. :frown:

Bought mine from the original owner in 1997 for $9000 all original including the awesome factory paint with 65000 miles on her.

86 GN bought may of 87.Paid $11500 and felt like I'd stole it.Test drove it off the back lot of local Buick dealer and fell in love.Low balled them on my first offer and they acted like they were glad to get $11500.I would've paid more.

Bought my GN in 98 and paid $13300 with 50000 something miles. I used the $ from an insurance pay-out from my burned up 454 Velocity boat.

Bought my 87 GN T-top with 90,000 miles on the clock for $8000 back in 1995. Sold it a few years later!

Found a blue metallic 1986 T-type with tan leather in Iowa back in 2001 bought it for $4000. Had 100,000 miles on it. Was bone stock. Paint is faded. Bumper fillers cracked but no rust. It was a texas car.

Still have the money pit to this day though! Don't even ask me how much I have into it now. I quit keeping track years ago! It may not be the nicest one out there but she runs goood!:D

Bought my 86 GN on December 7, 2001. Paid $8500. Had a few old school mods but didn't run right. Tranny went 2 weeks later, so I basically paid $9700:mad:

Bought my '87 GN in Feb. 1991 with 10k miles on it and still a year left on a factory bumper to bumper ext warranty for $12k.

I wanted a new one when I worked at a Buick dealer but by the time I talked the wife into it they quit making them. I bought a Lesabre T Type and then they made a second run of GN's due to demand.

So I had to wait until 1992 to get my dream car. $11.500.00 for an 87 with 25k on it.
