It seems like these cars are getting harder and harder to find. I started looking in the late 90's and it was easy to find quite a few for sale. Nice lower mile GN's could be had for $10k in the Chicago area. Back then 5-10k mile GN's maxed out at maybe $15k.

I bought a 85k mile GN for $6500 in '99. My buddy picked up a mint 20k mile t-type for $9k about the same time.

Just curious how long ago you bought and what you paid, if you're willing to share.

Oh yeah, 20k mile GNX's went for about $22k-$25k then as well.

Bought mine 08-08-2009. for 11k. was listed for 15k. Guess 11k cash looks real good up close:biggrin:

Bought my first in Feb '92 for $8800. Traded it and cash for my '65 Vette in 2000.

Bought 2 more GN's in '03 and joined this site. Found the one pictured in May 2000 and tried to purchase, but fell through and found it again and bought in Aug '04. Plan on keeping it for a looooooong time. ;)

found my love this year

may 09 10K after the guy was asking 13K. guess he thought i was playing and i even told him to not answer me right away. left my number and told him it'll be in CASH. 3 hrs later he called me and said come and get it, bought it the next day as he needed to go home and get the title. got about 12K wrapped up into it now and when i bought it, it had roughly 97K on it, so i've put 5-6K miles on it in the half yr i've had it and it's been a blast driving it. I'd just love to fix the little things that irk me and maybe ger some nice rims to complete it.

Got my GN in 2007 with 89k. Super clean, all stock... new paint

$12,500

bought mine in 2005 with 42,000 miles for $18,000 probably paid too much for it but its really clean less the GM cracked paint on rear quarters

I bought my "T" in 2/06. It was sitting in a grocery store parking lot for sale. Bumper fillers were gone, passenger door was wasted, and paint was trashed. I told my wife to stop as we were leaving the store so that I could look at the car and she's like "Why the hell do you want to look at that car........" She had no idea what the car was. I do all my own paint/body and mechanical work....I was looking at this car like it was "Bo Derek", and here sits this diamond in the rough. This car reminded me of when I bought my '70 Chevelle SS from the original owner back in 1980 for $300.00...and I've still got it. For the grand total of $2300.00 I was driving the car home, yes driving it home not towing. After a lot of hard work I was enjoying the car by the fall of '06 and I'm still enjoying it.

Bought mine May 1986. Sticker 18,880 and I paid $15,800 after hagling over the phone. When I picked it up the next day the dealer offered me $2000 to not buy it as he had a buyer lined up willing to pay $20,000.

86 GN brand new in August 1986: $17,500- sticker price
current car: 87 Turbo Regal with 74,000 miles in May 2000 for $9000

Bought my Turbo T in October 2005 for 1,000 dollars. It sat in my friends backyard for three years and was a friend of his dads that was abandoned. Only had 76,000 miles on it. Dont ask how much I have into it.

My 86 was gotten Summer of 2007 for $0.
I helped a real generous guy sell his TR collection including low/no mile GN and GNXs, many sold to members here. Also sold other GM collectables for him, it took 2 years to get everything gone he wanted to sell, and I only did it in my leisure. When done, as payment, he gave me his 70k mile former daily driver GN. He remembered a conversation from 1987 when I told him one day I'd have that exact car, and he made it happen.

March of '09. $10,000 Was asking $11,000 Fresh engine, trans, brakes, & tires with all the documents to prove it.
