How timely Two Lane's post is. At the time I read this I was alternating between TB.com and searching for real estate on the east coast. I've found that I can OWN a 2000+ sq. ft. house in many of the nicer coastal areas of the east coast for less than I am currently paying to RENT a sh!thole one bedroom apartment here in CA.
The sad thing is that CA is just a precursor for what is going to come for the rest of the country. The federal government has essentially thrown the doors open to anyone that wants to come here, and now we are suffering the consequences. For the time being we may be able to run to another state that isn't as fouled up as CA, but eventually none of us will be able to hide.
