What transmission fluid to use?

Finally getting around to put my 10"ptc stall in and wondering what trans fluid everyone is using. A local racer told me to use type f. That's all he uses in all his gm race cars. What would you recommend

I did search but no threads really confirm what's the best to use

That search will show you everyones opinions. Best bet is to use the fluid that your builder suggested. Mine said Dextron VI.
