My wife and I are going to Vegas with some friends at the end of June. What are some fun things to do or some must see things? I'm not really into gambling that much, but I will probably spend a little time playing poker. ;)

if you never been to hover dam, thats pretty cool thats pretty cool, they have a tour thru the inside

Hover dam, Grand Canyon, rent some sand rails, and have fun. You can always walk the strip like everyone who goes to Vegas.

You can rent anything from a viper to a hummer. I was there a few weeks ago and wanted to take a harley through the desert, just ran out of time.

Free drinks in the casinos plus lots of interesting people to watch

As others have said, go see the Hoover Dam. They have a really nice tour that takes you thru the Dam. If you don't mind a little walking/hiking, I stumbled on a place I think is called Red Rock Canyon that has many scenic spots and is very photogenic. Walking the strip and visiting the casino's is also kinda cool. You could also visit the Grand Canyon and take a walk on the horse shoe that sits over the canyon, but I've heard that it was a little pricey.

The Hoover Dam is great as is boating on Lake Mead. See the Blue Man group if you can although it is pricey. There is also a really cool wax museum.

Whatever you do, don't get roped into a condo tour promising a free dinner. You will waste half a day because you get corralled like cattle and they won't take no for an answer.

No matter

What you plan to do in vegas .it will be ruined by impulse .me and my wife only plan to go .. Whenever we plan things to do .theres allways something else that side tracks us. So we just plan to go.once off the plane its ala cart .. Have fun stay out of the heat .dry heat sucks the life out of ya ...

hahaha.. ya we went there to  ya it's pricey !! 15 mile DIRT road to get to it. Was good in our Rally rental car goin around all the curves:biggrin: It's owned by the Indians. What I found funny was on the Vegas rides.. (We went on the Stratosphere).. Now for all the idiots that want to jump to their death there would be no way you could get threw all the safety stuff. Go to the GC and there are 2000' drop offs !!! NOT a fence or anything !!! Guess the Indians have a no fault" insurance co :p Horseshoe thing was great if ya like heights. My poor wife really didn't care for that.
Another thing was a tour threw Shelby American at the Racepark. It's free. If your not into the old stuff don't bother with it:cool:
Now we went to most of the animal exhibits. Have a ton of pics . If ya don't want to pay PM me we took a million pics

Old Vegas

Fremont Street is the old section of the "strip" where the locals are. Nice night spot that is alot different than the high priced glitzy stuff.

There is also the neon sign museum. Very interesting.

Vegas is an awsome place. Fremont street is really neat at night(spend the money for a cab instead of taking the bus from the strip). There is a lot to see there if you are willing to put in a little foot work so wear some walking shoes. Enjoy the scenery at the pool areas and be prepared to spend some money. Nothing is cheap there. Have fun.
