What Size Bolts For Bolt in Driveshaft Safety Lloop

I have a 82 Regal,and have been wanting to install my bolt-in style driveshaft safety loop.

There is a thin strap that is to be removed in the trans tunnel area that this loop mounts in,using the exsisting bolt hole locations.

I removed the strap a while back and cant seem to find the bolts.

Wanted to know what size bolt is, thread & the height needed since I'm going to the thicker metal on the loop.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I think they are a M8X1.25,not sure on length.

I use M8x1.25, 25mm (1 inch) long. I use a 8mm x 24mm flat washer. Not that the bolt will pull through the 1/4" steel flat, I open the holes in the loop to accommodate the differences due to flex and age of the floorpans!
