Honestly, the only thing the majority will agree with is to use ZDDP. You can do whatever you want, it is your car. My wife tells me weeks after the oil light comes on in her car and it is still running fine.
You'll probably lose the #3 exhaust cam lobe and then start to damage the rod bearings. Many bad things can happen without the anti-wear additives in the oil. Get some ZDDP Plus. It's not that expensive.

Not a thing. Your cam and lifters were made back when they used good materials. The lobes and lifter feet are fully work hardened and aren't subject to the extra heat and wear as new softer parts that aren't married yet.
and run synthetic. It's not that much more and the extra gas mileage will pay for itself pretty quickly.
