What front tire are you running if you have 275/50 15 DR's?

This is a double post I did not get many responses in the wheel and tire section.

I have nitto 275/50 15's w/ stock suspension front and rear. What tires are people running up front I want to keep it fairly wide don't want skinnes. I am thinking a 225 50 might be the right choice.225/50R15= 23.9x8.9R15 275/50R15= 25.8x10.8R15 so about 1.9" overall smaller than rear or about .95" drop. Would love to know what everyone is running w/ their Nitto's.

I am double posting because I need to get tires to my mechanic by monday to get the car out of his shop.

I have 215/65/15's on mine and it looks pretty good. I fear the 50 would look very short compared to the 275's. I am not sure how well the 50 series up front would fill the wheel well either. I have stock but widened wheels on the back and stock width wheels on the front.

I run 235/60/15 Michelin Pilots.

They don't make them anymore however.

Winter time it's 215/65/15 snow tires on all 4 wheels.

Thanks Ravege! I def dont want to be nose high. I thought that taller upper ball joints lowered the car about an inch as well??

No, they just alter your upper arms geometry. Lower ball joints I could see affecting ride height.

:p I run 70 series to fill the wheel well they are 26.9" I run 275/60/15 Nittos out back.
Not much rake but when I leave the weight transfer is better IMO.

I actually measured the tires and they are within a quarter inch and I usually run the Nittos at around 15 psi so rather squatty. It all depends on what look you want. Run cargo coils in the rear and the car sits very level. If you want a rake, then something else will have to be done. I wanted the front wheel wells to be filled nicely and the car to sit mostly level. I may step up to the 275 60's when I replace these but it would be more of a performance decision than a looks one.

I don't necessarily want a rake I just don't want the car to sit nose high which by the dims it would with your tire size but proof is in the pudding. I went w/ the 225/60's according to the charts 225/60R15 = 25.6x8.9R15 and 275/50R15 = 25.8x10.8R15 so they are within .2

When I had 275 50 15's, I ran 225 60 15's up front. Now I run 275 40 17 rear and 245 45 17 front.

I started with 225/60's but they were too skinny looking so I moved up to 235/60 on the fronts.

Now that I've changed to Cooper Cobra's I wish I'd gotten 245's up front (if they even make a 245/60 that is)

I got them on they look good but car needs to be lower all around. Thinking of moog springs for now. I really want ride coil over complete system and 18's but thats a 8k upgrade....
