I was just wondering what causes lifters, rods, bearings.. or any related parts to fail.. Old age.. lack of oil. Just curious...

The answer: It depends.

People go to college for almost a decade, then work in the industry on these things for 40 years, and still can't completely answer that question in every situation.

You may as well have asked "Is there really a God?" or "Why don't we have world peace?"

either low oil pressure or some kind of dirt in the oil that the filter dont pick up

Wear, and/or more load (excessive rpm falls in this category) than the engine is set up to handle.

Yeah well i figured that there would be a lot of answers to this. However i dont think that the question is comparable with the two above
"Is there really a God?" or "Why don't we have world peace?"
.... For those who did try to answer thanks I appreciate it.;)
