R.L. Burnside,

There is a place in West Point, MS named Anthony's. It's a small steakhouse/blues bar. The first sat of every month used to be blues night there and they would have someone come in and play. Anyway, one night it was R.L. He got there early that afternoon, got setup and then went out back and got set up with a bottle of gin!!! So the time comes for him to start and Carter, the guy that owned the place tells me and my buddy Chris Mozingo to go get him. By this time he's been working on that gin pretty hard and now we have to figure out how to get him on stage. So we go out back and find him and in a very polite way ask him when he's going to start, he stands up off the five gallon bucket he's sitting on and says "Whiskey and Women, lets go!!!" Walks in the bar and proceeds to hammer on the guitar for the next two hours!!! True Story!!!
