weird downshift

well guys as soon as i punch it from a roll it downshift but then it feels as though it keeps downshift time and time after time and will not upshift. it only does this when it is mashed to the floor if eased into it doesn't do it aslo from a stand still launch it doesn't do it. any ideas on what the problem is.

I would run a scantool unless you have an aftermarket tach. Make sure that it's staying down a gear. Could you just be spinning at higher revs because your convertor isn't locking? (Sorry, forgot to see what you had for a TC in the sig) Are you in "D" or "OD" when you mash it? The forced downshift from OD to 3rd gear on the highway is BAD for your tranny, I would manually shift into "D" before hammering it.
Just let us know where your gear selector is, and what speeds the problem is happening at, maybe you can get better advice.
