Water Pump Bypass

Do you need a bypass for the waterpump when using a STG 2 fornt cover?? The manifold is not setup for any bypass, but it looks like you could come off the block on drivers side and weld fiiiting to T/C so water can be circulated until thermostat is fully open. Or can you just let the pump turn without pushing water anywhere until the t-stat is open.

Just eliminate the bypass on the WP (weld shut, plug, stick a cork in it...) then drill an 1/8" hole in your thermostat. Works like a charm!!
