Wastegate Wiring?

Wiring my Hybrid pjt and had a question about the Wastegate Soleniod Wiring. One Wire goes to the ECM, other to the brake SW. My question is: When I hit the brakes what is that wire going to the brake sw looking for? Does it get pulled to Ground or is it looking for 12 vots?

It's not suppose to go to the brake switch. It goes to the ECM/SOL fuse in the fuse box. If your not using a turbo dash wiring harness it just goes to switched 12V from the key switch.
