J John84GN Nice Monte... Joined Aug 18, 2001 Jan 8, 2006 #2 the wastegate solonoid is needed....however, if you don't have one your car, it will do 2 things w/o it.... 1. It will give you a malfunction code 31, telling you the wastegate solonoid signal failed, and 2. you car will not go over 10 psi of boost.
