Yes they are. I wrap them in a double layer of bubble wrap and use 2 large double wall corrugated cardboard to wrap it tightly with. Properly packing one takes some time.

Shipping Greyhound Package Express is good for oversize yet fragile parts.

The stuff gets put in the luggage compartment of a bus in your city and usually doesn't move until it arrives in the destination city.

It's handled a bit more gently too.

I use them to ship neon signs I buy and they have NEVER broken one.

USPS, FED EX and UPS has been a worse than 50/50 chance it arrives broken everytime I've used them.

Yeah, you have to go to the bus station on each end but it's worth it.

Pricing is competetive too.
