I've got a set of VDO gauges I'm fabricating a gauge panel for. These are the 2 1/16" ones with the white plastic cups that screw onto the back to hold them in place instead of the traditional two-legged bracket that bolts onto the back, so they have 360 degrees of clamping on them. My question is, has anyone ever tried mounting these with those angle rings, such as what Autometer sells?
