I am close to going to the track and am curious about valve springs. My car had been run very little over a 10 year period. Since being built 10 years ago the car has about 500 miles regular drivng and maybe 50 partial and few complete passes both 1/4 and 1/8 mile. Many passes were aborted for lack of traction
The oil has been changed often and the car has been started often over that time period. The cam and springs are a Comp Cam roller, solids.
Should the springs be changed before I take it to the track? Do they get weak over time? The rockers were always set to there required lash during this time period. It is a twin turbo v8 in a GN but shouldnt make a diff. on springs I would guess.
