Hey guys, I am looking at getting a set of fabbed valve covers from a board member but they havent used them on a car with AC. Can anyobe tell me whats the tallest valve covers can be to clear the AC box? Thanks to all for any advice!

With the heat shield in place you're not going to be able to go too much taller than stock. A healthy bevel on the corner would be a help too.

Oops, probably should of mentioned, I have the air box but I removed my heat shield. Do you know the approximate height of the champion ones or the tallest i can fit? I checked on champions website and didnt see apecs on the meaurments of the valve covers

It's not the height that is a problem, mine are actually shorter than a set of Champion valve covers.. Champion valve covers have a notch in the corners to clear the a/c box. There is no clean way to do that with sheetmetal valve covers. And If I did try it, I have no way to confirm fitment before shipping them out.
