Vacumn line ?

On the vacumn block on top of the intake the front port (nearest to the radiator) has a hard plastic line that bends and goes under the throttle body toward the passenger valve cover. By the valve cover a vacumn line connects and runs up behind my driver side headlamp (where the charcoal csnister would go). It has a screw in the end and about 6 inches up a little plastic check valve or something. I was just wondering what this is suppose to go to. The car runs fine and I plan on capping it off at the plastic line if it its not important. Just trying to clean up the engine bay. Thanks Matt

You answered your own question. It goes to the charcoal canister - specificically a purge solenoid that sit's on top of the canister.
