Turbonetics 7868

Anyone have any feedback on this turbo? How does it compare to a 7068? This turbo is on a healthy 249ci. TIA

Seems like a lot of compressor for that turbine...

I am not sure if the hp rating is accurate but is is lower than a 6766 and will spool slower.
It is mentioned that these turbos are designed for small motors running lots of boost.
Does this mirror your plans for this application?

This turbo would see less than 30 psi. The car will probably end up with a 7068. Thanks for the response.

What are your goals HP wise and is street-ability a concern?

The engine made 747 rwhp with an old 72 q trim(30+psi). The new owner installed the 7868 but, the car is currently down due to transmission issues. We will probably do some testing with the 7868 before he pulls the trigger on another turbo. As far as ET goals, the owner wants 10.50's on low boost (15lbs).

That would be impressive if the engine has a CR less than 9.5:1 and a hyd cam.

The engine is 9:1 with a solid roller. It would be impressive to see a 10.50 at 15lbs.

Be sure to post up the result of that combo. More compressor certainly isnt going got help anything there
