Rebuild
i am in the same situation. I sent my stock turbo to limit engineering for a rebuild by Chopper. It has been more stress than anything else.He had my turbo for a week (he was susposed to call me) and I turned a round and had to call him. I got the rebuild and it looked great. Before I did any test fit I ws putting on the actuator and noticed one hle stripped (no biggie). Something told me to check the play on the impellar blade. Sure enough it had mass amounts of play and the wheel sometines nicks the housing. Right now I am waiting for Ups to pick up the rebuilt so thy can look at it. My daily driver has been layed up for about 3 weeks and now it looks like its going to take another 2.
Just to let you know if you send it to him and he needs to do a complete rebuild its going to cost you 485 plus your core. Im from Ny and shipping was about 30$ and tool a week to get there..
