Turbo heat shields.. blanket vs stainless vs leave it alone????

Just finished installing my twin turbos on my 71 Skylark. I have everything done except the downpipes. If you were at the nationals, you saw a dark red Skylark, and well, that was me..

My question is about controlling underhood temps. Would a blanket or heat shield make much difference, or am I just as well to leave it alone??

i wrapped my 3.5" downpipe with header wrap & could not belive the difference it made. got it off ebay for 30 bucks.2"x 50ft. wrapped it from the center section to the cat.

Sounds wild! 350 or 455? Or other? I would recommend pictures so we can see where you are at. You have to keep that heat away from all stuff like floor pans,starters,control arms,etc. Show us your configuration.
