trunk brace

some one said if i want to run slicks on my car that i should put an X-brace in the trunk to prevent the body from twisting and cracking above the rear quater glass, recommend this or not?

Do it yourself for less then $10 using 3/4" conduit from the Home Depot. Later-Kurt
 
I did the braces, bushings, and KYB shocks all at once, and it felt like I had a brand new car. That loose feeling was a gone. :)
 
1" aluminum conduit

I put the #5 gnx bushings in and did the x braces behind the seat. It did tighten the car up a bit. I could tell a difference when i go over railroad tracks,car just seems to be more solid. I would do it. I had a big vise to mash that 1" conduit but it sure looks better than that little bars that some vendors sell:D
 
sounds like a great idea. how much would it cost to do the bushings and the braces all at once?
