My truck is to far gone to fix plus its got the convertible top which leaks so I picked up an 86 s-10 and i am going to swap everything to that. Any suggestions while i have motor out just looking to do small stuff have a budget of $1000-1500. The motor is stock besides chip/injectors60lb,adjustable fpr,adjust wastegate,KN,and fresh tune up. I know I should do timing chain,valve springs,cam lifters Where should I order parts from?What brand chain,springs,cam are you guys using?

You can't go wrong if you get your parts from one of the vendors, like fullthrottle or gbodyparts. Most will tell you to ditch the stock style timing set with nylon teeth and get a double row steel gear set. Comp 980's are a popular valve spring replacement. If you're replacing the cam anyway, it would be the perfect time to go roller, but IMO it will put you past your budget limit.
