Transmission shift issues and high line pressure?

I have a 2004R with very few miles on it. When I installed it I verified the throttle valve measurements and TV cable adjustment. But the 1-2 shift doesn't feel right. So I checked the line pressures and got the following. Pressures taken at 1500 rpm. No TV: P=100, R=170, N=100, OD=100, D=100, 2=370, 1=370. Full TV=360-370 in all gear selections. So all pressures would seem ok - if the high pressures were 100 psi lower. What would cause high line pressures, and could that cause shifting issues?

freshly built? have you talked to the builder?
i would guess it has a .570 boost valve. are you getting 2nd gear starts?

Yes I talked to the builder and he said it's high but wouldn't be causing the issues. So unfortunately it looks like it will be coming out for inspection. Thanks.

looking at the pressures again i think something wrong with the boost valves, pressure regulator or the over pressure in the pump. maybe something sticking.
1-2 shift quality could be poor clearance, servo too small, band not goodl/glazed over, drum out of round, glazed over. pin not tight. poor seal on the servo.
look it all over close.
