TransBrake solenoid..

Hey guys,
I am toying with the idea of building a transbrake for the Th400 that retains full auto features...
And need a solenoid that "opens" fluid to flow while it is receiving 12V.

A line-lock solenoid was suggested by someone but I believe it is going to operate backwards, being a "closed" solenoid while activated by 12V.

Any suggestions on what to use, who/where to get it, and approx cost?

Two industrial solenoid valve suppliers that we use are www.burkert.com and www.peterpaul.com. The main thing you need to decide is what internal orifice size you need, and then call them to see what valves they have that will live submerged in hot trans fluid. Or, how about a tcc solenoid - that's already spec'ed to work in your environment.
