Hey guys I am going to a Dequick raditor from the stock one . When I look at the stock one the trans cooler lines run into it and then out and into the trans cooler. that was the way it was installed by previous owner (the Dequick does not have trans lines). So it looks like he was using both . So my question is will the trans fluid get hotter by just using the front mounted trans cooler . And will I need to take out any trans fluid ? thanks

the external cooler's work great by them self. it just needs to be big enough. what size is it? i.e.= 8x12 inch? all extra fluid is in the old rad. so you may have to add a little when done---len

it should work fine, but if you still question it get one of the frame mount coolers from summit.

the stock tranny cooler just cooled the tranny oil down to no more than 160 deg. or whatever your water temp is. where an external cooler should cool it far beyond that, if its big enough.
