Tranny issue

Hello all, new to the site....I've had my 87GN since '92, and have a question about the tranny. If I hold it to the floor it won't shift out of 1st until I release the pedal a bit. It was rebuilt in '95. Is it just an adjustment I can do myself??

I had the same problem with a monte ss trans that I put in a couple years ago. I finally pulled that pos trans and that was the only cure I could find.If you figure out the problem let me know Im curious as well.

Having the same issue with my 87 Gn, Would be interested in suggestions as well.

TV Cable adjusted too tight, TV Cable binding/sticking, TV binding/sticking in sleeve in Valvebody.

I had the same problem, I added an extra qt or qt n1/2 to the already full mark in the tranny and that solved my problem. Good luck.
