Tps setting

Does setting the tps depend on your set up or is it only one way to do it and what's the proper voltage I've heard different things on this???????

Does not depend on set up. Generally speaking you want to see it in the range of around .40 - .46 at idle and 4.20 - 4.60 (don't exceed 4.80) at WOT. No magic numbers. No, ideally, you'll set the closed voltage to .40-.42, and WOT voltage to at least 4.5-4.8

Happy Fathers Day to you too. By the way, the ranges I posted is right off of the TT instruction manual and I misstated idle for engine off key on.

You are correct. The range isn't as sensitive as most people think. .40-.44v at idle and 4.0-4.5v at WOT are typical settings. The computer uses a lot more than the tps value to calculate fueling and timing. The tps value is only one of the parameters it uses to calculate load on the motor.

Are the 4.0-4.5V wot setting valid for 84/85 or just 86/87?
