I'm freshining the bottom end of my motor, which is all stock and am looking for some advice. What type of timming chain should I use? Double roller or stock steel repacement with tensioner? I didn't really want to go with the TA billit since I''m not degreing the cam. Maybe an Edlelbrock or Cloyes. If using the stock steel replacement were can I get the tensioner?

Also what is the part # of the main and rod bearings I want to use. I know that some of the stock replacment rods are very narrow and I want to get the best bearings I can.

Does anybody have the part # for the replacment cam thorsen bearing?

Thanks in advance for your help. My car ran 10.90's last year and I just wanted to freshen it up a little before something fails. Maybe next winter I can get a motor put togeather.

I'd run the same size bearings in it. Changing to a wide rod bearing on an old crank isn't a great idea. Go double roller chain and forget the tensioner. Comp Cams unit works fine.
