This DEFINATELY Warrants a Clean Pair of Shorts!!!

That is some amazing footage...

Hope the driver is okay. Those 90 degree wall strikes are devasting.

Driver is reported to have a broken leg. Word has it he'll be fine.

His car, not so much...

That guy has really good odds of winning the lottery now!!! That some crazy ****!!!

Just missed that stang too!! Watch how that Camaro fliped over ON THE JERSY BARRIER after hitting it and ending up like it did on the track. That's a LMF'er right there!!!

If you take a close look, you can see the car get out of the groove right after leaving the starting line. It moves to the left towards the wall where it got loose, goes sideays and then shoots across the track.

Yep. Looks like he got in the marbles. He should have been backing out of the throttle much sooner with a smaller steer correction to the middle of the track. He made too large a steering correction to the middle while still under full power in the marbles. That move swung the car around towards the wall. Like being on ice. Bottom line, in the throttle too long in a dangerous area of the track. As soon as he knew he was out of the groove, and he was out very early in the run, he should have been backing out.

I see this so often at our own track. Most accidents are caused because the driver stayed in it too long. One accident I remember, a Camaro was crossing the track like that and the driver didn't get off the throttle until he was just about to the opposite lane car. He ended up sandwiching a Honda between his front end and the wall. Sent the Honda up into the air and the Camaro bounced back across the track to his original lane. Very ugly.
