Thinking about dropping a V8 in it

My Money Pit That I LOVE So Much

My car is now set up for TSM I haven't raced TSM since 07 :frown: kinda mad about it money is just tight. I started like everyone else ran 14's. I started with basic mods chip, inj, hooker exhaust, RJC Plate, 3'' DP, RJC IC, Erson Cam, Len Freeman Trans, 373's got down into the high 11's then pulled the heads did a 3way valve job and into the 11.30's I went. I never pulled the oil pan all stock except the cam. I ran the car at the track over and over with a PT61 "daily driver might I add" I put a PT67-Ptrim on and there was no difference the car was stuck at 11.30's. I pulled the heads again and had them fully ported "stock Irons" the car went from 11.30's to 10.80 immediately. I couldn't believe it! Stock rockers, stock MAF,Throttle Body, A/C, Cruise, TT chip no FAST etc.. I wish I stopped there the car was so fun on the street. As I ran the car over and over at the track and driving on the street hard the 150k mi motor couldn't handle it and the crank broke in half. Pics bellow

After that happened I said it's time for TSM!! Lou Czarnota and I built a nice 20 over stock stroke 109 JE's, Scat rods, Steel Mains, RJC Girdle, 218/218 cam, my old heads with the ports opened up a bit more as well as the intake to match, egr deleted, 70mm Throttle Body PTE Hat, RJC Plate, 70GTQ w/85 housing, 1.55 rockers, TH400 Trans, 72lb Inj, TT chip, Glass front bumper, A/C, Cruise all still there. 1.49 60ft 1/8 6.39 @ 109mph 1/4 1.53 60ft 10.12@133mph next run 1.56 60ft 10.15@134. Motor pic bellow.

After I got back from BG I pulled the tank replaced it with a JAZ fuel cell, Weldon Pump W/ controller, got rid of the AC and added some M&A Alum Heads, Hogan fuel rails, 83lb inj and a TT SD Chip & a power logger. No times yet. just 1/8 mile 1.42 60ft 6.38@106mph :frown: very lean like so lean I don't wanna say. The car went quicker but the mph was down by 3mph it's XFI time for sure. There's a lot left in it.

A long story short It takes a lot of money to go fast! This is just a glimpse of all the work it took to get where I am. I would love to build an LSX Turbo Motor and have my V6 on the stand. It takes 3hrs "if that" to pull the motor it would be like changing shoes. Also with an XFI one click and you have your LSX tune or vice versa when you swap. You would need a lot of work done to strengthen the chassis for 7's btw. Just more $$$$$ ;)
