TH400 that shifts automatically

Might have just messed up another 2004R and I'm considering the TH400 route. Is there a way to put it in drive and race it or is everyone else shifting it manually?

I hear about automatic shifting TH400 T-brake valve bodies but never saw one first hand. I think most just go with the reverse manual trans brake valve body.

How much power, how fast are you going?
Who is building these 2004r trans that keep "messing up". You might need a different builder.
