T-Top adjustment

How do I go about adjusting my t-tops to make them fit tighter to the car? There is slight up and down play in them.

Take them off and you'll see that the latches and brackets are slotted. You can raise and lower them and it will help with the fit. I wish I could be more descriptive, but I think you'll see what I mean when you remove them.

I tried that on my GN and it seemed they they only moved diagonally. To get them down tighter I had to move them towards the outside of the car and that made for a very slight (risky) fit in the center where they hook upder the center support.

Did I just not try hard enough? Do the holes move in all directions?

Don't know about the tops on my GN but I tried this on my '86 MCSS way back when. Seemed to tighten them up but a word of caution. Don't go too tight. On my passenger side top the plastic frame the mechanism is in started to pull away from the under side of the glass. Wasn't real bad but it was enough to piss me off...
