T Handle replacement

My T handle has lost its lock in position, I was told this will fix issue...I ordered this, Will this correct issue? Just unclip Horseshoe pin & thread new on and reclip?

There’s no threading. Just pull the clip and remove the old one. Pop the new one on and install the new clip
