Depends who you ask.
Many of us torque the ARP units to 84 Ft/Lb's, with a 5Ft/Lb in-block torque on the deck end of the stud. This WILL decrease the fastener's ability to be accurately retorqued, as this practice will cause hastened stretching of the stud(s).
If you haven't had the block honed with a torque-plate set up for a fastener tightened at this level, and are simply replacing the stock torque-to-yield bolts, use the ARP factory specs.
