What's the best way to strip and prep the original bumper fillers? Is it safe to soda blast them?

If you are looking to paint the fillers to keep them from hazing over I would suggest not wasting your money. The hazing of the original fillers is a sign that the material is breaking down and when you least expect it they will start to crack.

I would suggest shelling the $$ out for NOS units or wait until the new style fillers are available.

I personally would be afraid to "blast" them with anything!! Mine fell apart all by themselves. In storage looked like someone blew them up with a firecracker! Was going to salvage the rears, but after barely touching them, they fell apat. Bought NOS all around. Can't stand aftermarket junk!!! If you need to try to strip I have used Kleen-strip bulldog flexible plastic stripper. It comes in an aresol can and is easy and safe to use. It is urethane safe.
