Stock coil pack?

I hear a lot of guy say the stock coil packs go bad on TRs. Mine still has "April 1987" stamped on it. My question is what are the symptoms of a bad one, other than no spark?

Mine started breaking up after 21 psi of boost. Kip checked it and at "stock" levels it was ok, turn up the wick and it fizzled out (aka.. it started breaking up).

Once running it seems fine, its just on start up. Crank crank crank.

Hmmm, make sure fuel pump is priming. Turn key and wait for buzzing to start then stop, should fire pretty quick after it's primed.

Checked fuel pressure, all is good. I really think I have weak spark on crank. Need to do some voltage drop tests. Just wondering if it rang any bells.

I'm a little bit jaded on my "start up" crank. E-85 kicks it off pretty fast.
