stock bottom end 109 block?

im trying to get everything figured out on building a street/strip car and what im needing to know is how much horsepower the stock rotating assembly will hold up to?

Read this. This was basically a high mile, rusty, beat down car. All stock. It went 10's after just a few mods and some awesome tuning. Brian posted his changes week to week. The stock bottom will go low 11's for quite a while with a good tune. Adding 2 billet main caps and a forged crank will really help. If you have it apart, that would be the mods I would look to.

the crank and rods have been further as
the fasted 109 93/alky car (snyderjw1)went 9.623 @ 143 with stock rods and crank but JE pistons , not sure if he had caps or girdle

It's more the tune than the parts. Typically in these engines the hard parts don't break, they get broken.
