standard or HD wastegate control

trying to sneak up on the boost to 16 lbs., have a standard wastegate control, do I need a HD unit to go 16-18 lbs on boost. I am at 15 lbs. turned the rod inwardard one more full turn , had no effect, is it the control or do I need to just keep going. My TT chip is set for 16 lbs

Shorten the rod till you can't shorten it more, reduce the pressure going to the actuator, or reduce the wastegate bypass diameter. A combination of the above will have a much more drastic effect than one at a time. The larger the wastwgate bypass the more spring tension you need to raise the boost
