Stage/109 parts are they interchangeable?

Hey Guys
Collecting pieces for my 109 build and have had some pms from people on cranks and rods out of Stage motors. My understanding was they are not compatable. Am I wrong? If so please educate me.

The cranks heads and anything off center are interchangeable but nothing will be a drop in. All assembly line engines were off center. Most stage 2 blocks were on center. All stage 1 blocks are off center like assembly line engines. If you are doing a high $ build and have $15k to spend on an engine then go for a stage 2. You will be in $35k+ to have a hard running 8 sec combo though.

15k buys the basic engine. Then you have to spend big bucks on a tranny, torque converter, drive shaft, rear end, chassis mods, roll cage, parachute, engine management, fuel system, the list goes on.
