Squeaky Rear Brakes

I have Aluminum rear drums, stock cylinders, Kirban soft shoes, and GNX (classic industries) wheels. Rear brakes squeak bad when I'm going slow and breaking (think parking lot...embarrassing)...either going fwd or in reverse. I have Baer brakes up front and stock brass proportioning valve. Rears tend to lock up easily (not much pedal pressure. (had bigger S-10 cylinders on there for a while but the rear locked up way early. Would like to get rid of the squeak and maybe not have the rears lock so easily. Sounds like I need to switch shoes?...or should this combo work and I'm missing something? I did 'adjust' the rears (breaking in reverse)...but hasn't made a difference. Suggestions?

i had the same issue.i had to put the stock shoes back on. when you "adjust" them ,that just makes it worse because they are closer to the drum. try backing them off some, that might help.
