Spool rear end

What sort of experience has anyone had using a spool rear end?

Does it produce better top ends or lower times at the track?

How do they handle on the street?

If you drive your car even a little on the street, DO NOT use a spool. well, unless you've got a big budget for tires and don't mind going around corners with some difficulty. A spool doesn't let your tires turn at different rates, it totally locks them together.

IMO, not a good idea for the street. I like the power trax unit...

Spool...

zam70, I'm not saying this to contradict you, but I have a spool on my car and except for very sharp turns, it is barely noticeable...However, at the track, it gives me peace of mind when doing the burnout, knowing that both wheels are locked together, ( no more unlocking of the posi unit ) and are heated up evenly, ensuring better launches, something you can't say about even the best positraction units. Well I'm speaking for myself of course...I'm happy with it! :)

'Bye, Claude. :)
