This is a DIRECT quote from the Holy Bible , book of Proverbs written by King Solomon over 2000 years ago He was one of the wisest men ever to set foot on this planet. . Nothing negative. Nothing malicious. Just pure Fact. Just pure Christian faith.
Just something for YOUR CONSCIENCE to consider….You KNOW who you are, you KNOW what malicious act you did, and you know who this is directed to: It is your conscience that has to deal with this. :(

Bet you all did not know that I was raised very Christian and Catholic.
Quoted from various chapters in Proverbs in the Bible. You are all MORE than welcome to go read the book of Proverbs in the Old Testament if you think any of this was altered or changed.
I have been referred to as “God”, ( On TB’s.com by Grumpy) which I take as a complete and total insult and an invasion and ridicule of my religion and beliefs. The Lord is someone NOT to be messed with or used in vain. I take this very seriously and if any of you cannot understand, I feel very sorry for you when you reach the end and need to make peace. The Lord NEVER forgets. He may forgive, but he never forgets.

Here is something for your conscience to ponder……………………………………….

16: My soul will rejoice when your lips speak what is right

29: Do not plan evil against your neighbor who dwells trustingly beside you.
30: Do not contend with a man for no reason, when he has done you no harm.
30: Do not men despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his appetite when he is hungry?
31: And if he is caught, he will pay sevenfold; he will give all the goods of his house.
21: A stupid son is a grief to a father; and the father of a fool has no joy
25: A foolish son is a grief to his father and bitterness to the woman who bore him.
26: To impose a fine on a righteous man is not good; to flog noble men is wrong.
27: He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.
17: He who speaks the truth gives honest evidence, but a false witness utters deceit.
19: Truthful lips endure for ever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
18: He who conceals hatred has lying lips, and he who utters slander is a fool.
23: A prudent man conceals his knowledge, but fools proclaim their folly
35: The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace
28: Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
20: He who walks with wise men becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
2: A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.
5: Every one who is arrogant is an abomination to the LORD; be assured, he will not go unpunished
3: When wickedness comes, contempt comes also; and with dishonor comes disgrace.
19: A false witness who breathes out lies, and a man who sows discord among brothers.
33: Wounds and dishonor will he get, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.
22: Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who act faithfully are his delight.
4: The words of a man's mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a gushing stream.
5: It is not good to be partial to a wicked man, or to deprive a righteous man of justice.
6: A fool's lips bring strife, and his mouth invites a flogging.
7: A fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to himself.
27: He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.
21: Misfortune pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.
2: The tongue of the wise dispenses knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly.
3: The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.
4: A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit
.22: Wisdom is a fountain of life to him who has it, but folly is the chastisement of fools.
23: The mind of the wise makes his speech judicious, and adds persuasiveness to his lips
4: An evildoer listens to wicked lips; and a liar gives heed to a mischievous tongue
9: He who forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter alienates a friend
11: An evil man seeks only rebellion, and a cruel messenger will be sent against him
33: The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the abode of the righteous.
34: For jealousy makes a man furious, and he will not spare when he takes revenge
He who does it destroys himself.
34: Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he shows favor.
35: The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace
16: There are six things which the LORD hates, seven which are an abomination to him:
17: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18: a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil,
19: When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.
20: The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the mind of the wicked is of little worth.
21: The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense.
18: There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
20: Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan good have joy.
21: No ill befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble.
17: A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
18: A man without sense gives a pledge, and becomes surety in the presence of his neighbor.
19: He who loves transgression loves strife; he who makes his door high seeks destruction.
20: A man of crooked mind does not prosper, and one with a perverse tongue falls into calamity.
. 22: A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a downcast spirit dries up the bones.
23: A wicked man accepts a bribe from the bosom to pervert the ways of justice.
24: A man of understanding sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.
8: The words of a whisperer are like delicious morsels; they go down into the inner parts of the body.
9: He who is slack in his work is a brother to him who destroys
.

15: My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.

P.S. Just so I am not biased, I posted this on both boards , identically.

19: He who loves transmission loves strife; he who makes his stall high seeks destruction.

Are you sure you meant to type that? :p

Take it easy Bruce. It'll be ok, it really will. Remember, it takes fuel, air and spark to make fire. Remove one of those elements and there is no fire. You know what to do. My reply is not a flame BTW, no pun intended.

UNACCEPTABLE POSTS:

”You agree, through your use of this service, that you will refrain from posting any material which is false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, gross, disgusting, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, extremely sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law. This includes posts about religion, illegal substances, posts that turn to arguments and flame wars, etc... While we are generally a little lenient as much as we can be, posts of this nature that go beyond opinion and turn to arguments will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate closing or deletion or editing of the post and possible suspension/banning of the posting members
account.”

Maybe you should change the rules............

You go Bruce. I am a reborn Christian and walk with the Lord. I know this is up for debate, however the reason the world is going to crap is we have moved so far away from the Lord. A household without the Lord is a broken foundation. Here are two really good verses for you Bruce as I see sometimes you have a short fuse.

James 1:19
So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

Proverbs 16:32
He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

Bruce I do hope you read these as they have helped me allot in my life.

And for the record, I think you are doing a great job with keeping porn and all that stuff off the board. I know myself it is easy to fall to the needs of the flesh, and you have been able to keep this place clean for a long time.

Instead of God how 'bout Bruce Almighty;)

In all honesty Bruce I don't understand why you take this stuff so seriously:confused:

Life is too short to let petty things bother you!!! Everyday above ground is a good one in my book:)

i almost fell off of my chair when i read this post.

here is an answer for u grumpy...."i said what i said, deal with it"

that is the answer i recieved from WE4 when i found it disturbing that he could incorporate racial comments into a "strengthening a 200r4" sticky.

The Bible verses quoted are to be incorporated into ones life, they are not meant to be used for winning arguments or pressuring anothers concience.

i said what i had to say to you regarding that and then i decided to forgive.

you claimed to be upset for being called "GOD" and then asuumed his role by judging his actions and saying that you 'FEEL SORRY FOR HIM WHEN HE REACHES THE END AND NEEDS TO MAKE PEACE"

happy holidays

surej

this is from another DEVOTED CATHOLIC

I am most certainly not a religious man, and it has always confused me as to why the 'love thy neighbor' guys are always using the book of their great forgiveness to stir up contention.

Does this set a precedent? Can we all fire up religiously motivated arguments, 'cause, like 86brick pointed out...we have been led to beLIEve that this is no place for that elective psychosis..........

"here is an answer for u grumpy...."i said what i said, deal with it""

Imagine if this was the only thing we had to worry about in our lives ??? :D

A warning to those who would disagree.. you will be harrassed.
njturbo apparently decided to disagree in a PM, I tried to reply but his box is full.....so maybe it merits public post....

I think if the owner of the board wants to post something, he has the right to do it, he is paying the bills with the help of the vendors. It is a shame that you do not God.

So I guess the laws written under God thou shall not steal, thou shall not murder ETC mean nothing to you.
For your information, I just donated $100 to the site, so I have as much right as anyone to speak up(in response to him paying the bills). I mean, did you PM everyone who responded with their opinion, or am I the sole recipient of your jesus freakery? You have only served to prove my point on how the religious act rediculous when it comes down to their god. I did not try to incite any true argument with my post, I just presented my opinion the same as everybody else.......neither was I attempting to give Bruce a hard time, I recently spoke to him on the phone and he couldn't have been a nicer fellow. I just disagree with the antics of religious people....this is America- we have the right to do that (disagree). Furthermore, if you disagree with me please keep it on the thread it directly pertains to and don't PM me like this. Oh, and by the way, not murdering or stealing is just a rule of common human decency, I don't believe god holds the copyright on that. Now buzz off and don't come back.

Religion

What we stated was religious bashing will not be tolerated. Do not denounce others beleifs. Not that you cannot state your own. Anybody that whats to pray or pray for others is commendable. We do it for every member that needs help. Nothing wrong with it. I am sorry if anybody took it any other way.

It would be wise to note that Ben Franklin opened his own American annex of London's 'Hellfire Club'. That being stated, wouldn't it be unfortunate if, due to his superstitions, our money did not say 'In god we trust' but rather announced an out-dated 'Hail Satan'? That would be quite stupid, but christians would be up in arms about it, wouldn't they? So why is it not valid when a non-christian is irritated by the 'In god....' inscription. It is sad that in the eyes of the religious, freedom of religion means freedom of religion......as long as it is a christian denomination, i.e., you are free to be Catholic OR Protestant. I would not be able to call myself an American if I did not respect and even encourage others to do what they beleive in. I DO! I have more respect for a man who is Amish despite the redicule than he who is (enter popular belief) because his mother told him it was right. I think we all need to be more understanding and slower to judge from the confines of our own belief system......after all, didn't we see a thread recently about Muslims need to kill themselves after we parade the nude women before them? Some might consider that 'bashing'.
