What in the world did you hit or what hit you??? Man that looks nasty!:eek:

A Church Van.....Lady made a left hand turn infront of me without even looking. (Her Fault) It was a hard hit at about 45mph. The force of the impact actually pushed the sunvisors forward and bent them. (See Pic)

I feel fortunate that I was wearing my seatbelt and that the Buick is made out of metal.

I remember when that first happened and you posted pics, and guys were fighting to get in line for the seats and other parts off the car before it was even decided that it was totalled.

I remember it being on here. What year was it totalled? Maybe my memory is fuzzy but I remember something to that effect.

Most of the cars could have been saved and turned into eco-friendly pedal cars:

Here's my personal contribution. These are pics of what was left of my 1986 Designer's Series WH-1 T-Type. Car was a high mileage daily driver. Met its end December 27th, 2004 on a salt covered concrete highway. Couldnt stop in time and this was the result. Dove under the bumper of a Dodge Dakota and hit him so hard he spun around 180° and was facing traffic in the fast lane by the barrier. We were in the turn lane for upcoming exit to the local mall... I went from 45mph to zero in maybe 3-4 seconds. Hit so hard it put a 6" dent in the roof when the seatbelt locked. Towed it home, fought with the insurance company, and parted it out. I think Jim Dunn still has the std bore/std crank 109 motor in his shed... Parts went all over and the built 200 currently lives in my GN.

That was a sad, sad day for me.:(

Sorry for it being long, but wanted to show everyone that these cars are worth restoring. In my case 1 of 2000, although these cars are not highly sought after it is still a rare car.

I appreciate Brian at GBP for saving so many cars from the crusher and being a great vendor to our community.

The wreck involved me t - boning a minivan at around 35 mph.

Be careful in your babies,

Jerry
