smoke after reving.

I just put a ta-49 on my hot air, all is well as far as power and spooling. The car idles well, but after about 3-4 good 4k revs the car begins to smoke like the turbo is gone. It doesn't smoke on startup nor does it smoke ideling. Can you guys give me any ideas on this? And if I do have to rebuild will a te-44 kit fit a ta-49? I already have a new 44 kit. Well you can always open the throttle blade and see if theres oil, or even just take the turbo off and check compressor side and turbine side for signs of oil leaking.

It sounds like the 49 has an unknown history? I agree with Jay check the intake for signs of oil contamination
