My friend's gn wasn't idling, would give it some gas and sensor readings were way too high....reseated the ATR chip and then car was fine. Idled at 800 rpm, tps was at .44, iac was around 45, int and blm were about 128. Then the same issues resurfaced a few weeks ago. Again, car wouldn't idle, sensor readings were crazy (like iac was about 100, blm and integrator was 150). So tonight I tried reseating the chip again and that didn't help. I changed out the ecm and used the same ATR chip and now it runs good again. What do you guys think? Bad ecm?

How's this??? :D

Actually my old 85 did that to me once. I installed another ecm and cleaned it up. Shortly after I converted to 87 ecm.

use a small safety pin and bend the fingers in the chip socket to make firmer contact with the chip.

Although a wimped out socket usually causes trouble codes...
