How about a home made solution - if its not simple, at least cheap?
Cruise to Hobby Lobby for the standard size frames (on sale cheap but don't remember exact measurements at the moment) - in chrome + or optional blackout.
Construction paper - in black, white, red, orange & yellow (choose your colors).
Foil covered printer paper - available by the sheet at a local craft store
Letter size card stock for printing word doc. (8.5x11) - choose your color
MS Word (or open source equivalent) and a color printer - watermarking used for background graphics.
Acrylic cut (w/everyday box cutter) to size to replace frame glass (that came with frame) -
Reach in the fridge to get those creative juices flowing and in maybe an hour or so - these were the first draft.
Double sided office supply adhesive tape dispensor, scissors, straight edge, your crayons etc.
Save the file and alter it later??
I'm fairly sure there is less than $20 in each of these and they fit snug up under the hood near the AC box & lines. They don't get kicked or blown over & bumped into and are pretty stable as placed in last pic. Board (with fairly legible & boring basics) is close to eye level and can be easily disassembled for 'mods'.
