shift shaft seal problem

i am trying to remove the shaft so i can replace the seal. the dowl pin broke so i drilled the pin. with the drill bit in the hole i can feel that i drilled the pin out but the shaft wont come out. i know the case is aluminum and i dont want to force the shaft out cuz i am sure ill brake the case. how do i get it out.

Same happened to me. Got it all from Napa. The tool works great, but was a tight fit so i wacked it with the bfh and worked great,
 
That "nail" will definetly make you utter some 4 letter words . Good advice on getting the tool to do it without all the grief . I "buggered" up the nail hole in my case . Got the shaft out but had to use a thin washer on the shaft between the shift arm and the outside of the case and had to make a clip similar to the one that is used on a Th-350 used between the inside of the case and the "rooster comb" . :oops:
