Service engine light on

[84 Sleeper]

I've got a hybrid car 84 regal with 87 GN drivetrain. The service engine light is always on. Does anyone know how to get it to go off with out having to use a piece of electrical tape? Any help would be great thanks

You need to start with finding out what code is stored.

I never checked to see what code is stored thought the light is on because of the different motor but I will have to give it a look Thanks
